Your early morning begins with the infernal but familiar chime of dozens of grandfather clocks crying out in unison. Or does it? Let's rewind a little!

For those of you on the first floor of the castle the morning may begin just a few seconds earlier and it may sound more like BOOM!! - and who doesn't enjoy the ominous rumble of an explosion as their wake-up call? At least nothing seems to be immediately on fire this time.

Whether it is the boom or the clocks that wake you, you'll find that it is just past 5am and another Friday is upon you. While this may fill you with a sense of trepidation, you might still enjoy taking a quick look out the window. Every single flowering plant in the garden is in full bloom today, despite not even getting to the point of budding during the rest of the week. You don't remember spotting cherry trees out there before, but there they are. There's plum and apple, too, seemingly new saplings you don't remember from last night crowding the palace windows. You can only hope that this is a good omen for all things to come.

[ The good news: everyone is accounted for!

The bad news: something definitely changed here since last night. There's a faint red mist floating through the largest aquarium tank. Look closer? ]

[As Vanis gets closer to the tank, he'll realize that there's bits and flakes floating throughout the exhibit, some looking like fish food, some larger than others -- there are bits of what look like dark cloth and other, more organic-looking pieces of something.

Most of the sharks seem to be patrolling the bottom of the tank or lethargically circling about, but some of them along with smaller fish are gathered around a long, dark lump in the waters. Hm.]

[That dark something floats around, ends not budging despite its length -- it eventually approaches the front of the aquarium after a shark nudges it, ragged dark cloth waving.

The disembodied leg, locked in a bent position, bumps against the glass.]

[ He can't poke Blade because that's asking to be stabbed. He will be checking for signs of his chest rising and falling.

Vanis is already investigating whatever koolaid is inside the tanks so that is one. So he's going to look for Homura and Hwylryn next. ]
