INVESTIGATION III
Investigation
CLANG, CLANG, CLANGCLANGCLANG.
Your early morning begins with the infernal but familiar chime of dozens of grandfather clocks crying out in unison. Or does it? Let's rewind a little!
For those of you on the first floor of the castle the morning may begin just a few seconds earlier and it may sound more like BOOM!! - and who doesn't enjoy the ominous rumble of an explosion as their wake-up call? At least nothing seems to be immediately on fire this time.
Whether it is the boom or the clocks that wake you, you'll find that it is just past 5am and another Friday is upon you. While this may fill you with a sense of trepidation, you might still enjoy taking a quick look out the window. Every single flowering plant in the garden is in full bloom today, despite not even getting to the point of budding during the rest of the week. You don't remember spotting cherry trees out there before, but there they are. There's plum and apple, too, seemingly new saplings you don't remember from last night crowding the palace windows. You can only hope that this is a good omen for all things to come.

There are bloody fingerprints on the end of the basin that is currently resting on the ground. ]

For clarification, was the basin tipped over in a direction that would be more-or-less consistent with the explosion (i.e. pointing away from the front of the altar where the bomb was placed)?]

The basin itself doesn't show any damage or have any soot on it either, right?
Also can he get a sense for how heavy it is?]

It's not exactly light but he could lift it back upright without breaking his back. The base it is mounted on is also a good bit thinner than the basin itself. ]

He's going to try and drag one of the pews unrelated to case, just to see how heavy it is and/or if he could do it alone. He's pretty decently strong for his height and build and is fairly used to heavy lifting, so let's see how this goes!]

Please feel free to leave this until sane hours for y'all, but just so I make sure I have everything about the basin: if he checks around the outer side of the basin around the rim where the bloody fingerprints were, would he see any other fingerprints (that don't necessarily have to be bloody), say, from a pair of thumbs?]

Lucky that the porous rock of the basin absorbed the red color rather well, despite the general wetness of the floor it's been resting on. ]
