Your early morning begins with the infernal but familiar chime of dozens of grandfather clocks crying out in unison. Or does it? Let's rewind a little!

For those of you on the first floor of the castle the morning may begin just a few seconds earlier and it may sound more like BOOM!! - and who doesn't enjoy the ominous rumble of an explosion as their wake-up call? At least nothing seems to be immediately on fire this time.

Whether it is the boom or the clocks that wake you, you'll find that it is just past 5am and another Friday is upon you. While this may fill you with a sense of trepidation, you might still enjoy taking a quick look out the window. Every single flowering plant in the garden is in full bloom today, despite not even getting to the point of budding during the rest of the week. You don't remember spotting cherry trees out there before, but there they are. There's plum and apple, too, seemingly new saplings you don't remember from last night crowding the palace windows. You can only hope that this is a good omen for all things to come.

[Nothing looks bootprint-shaped! The smeared streaks are fairly small, just long. There are no traces of gunpowder here.

As you go down the stairs, you'll find some diluted droplets, some smeared and some just scattered on the way down. There is something rather suspicious at the bottom of the stairs, though. If you're looking at the wall in addition to the floor, that is.]

[Can't believe Homura's an owl........

An owl that's about to find some dark, dried streaks on the wall.]

anyway, how much is there... are the streaks in any notable pattern... do they look like, for example, someone dragging their bloodied hands/fingies down the wall, or what,

these are drier than the upstairs blood streaks/droplets? ]

[The streaks are kind of haphazard, some horizontal, some diagonal, some crossing over each other. They're very thin, although the thickness varies slightly, so they don't look done by hands or fingers. There aren't very many of them, considering they're only on this part of the staircase.

Homura will notice that they're all above her eye level, though.

These are drier than the upstairs blood traces, but they're also much smaller. Like, barely visible if you're just walking by.]

extremely thin... the metatext says the thickness varies, and they're kind of haphazard, but are the individual streaks relatively straight or jagged (is there enough to tell)? do they look like they could have been made by the edge of something, is what i mean? i do not know if i am saying this right. i assume that they are also very faint and flaky so hm. ]

[They vary between about 9 to 13 inches above her eye level.

The individual streaks aren't jagged -- they're mostly straight, slightly curved on a couple. They are indeed very faint and flaky. It's hard to tell if it could be the edge of anything.]
