WEEK FOUR
WEEK FOUR
25 Guests
The day is rung in by a myriad clocks tolling at once.
It's a familiar sound. It's the first time you're hearing it.
Once again, Monday is upon you, and once again you have just arrived at the castle to meet your new roommates. The last week is gone without a trace - nothing there to remind you of its existence. Injuries have been replaced with the old aches you may have felt before coming here, keepsakes have vanished and decorations have returned to their original state.
Formally, this is a clean slate and a fresh start. But that's not how it feels in your mind - your bodies may be rewound, but your hearts are steadily continuing, carrying the weight of a time that never was.
As always, the castle is new and old at once. Static, yet ever-changing. The curious minds among you may find it a good idea to explore a little.
TIME LOOP:
-Characters wake up with the clothes they had with them at their canon point, like in the intro log unless you wish to have them affected by the weekly effect as early as Monday.
-The state of their bodies is still exactly the same as it was on the intro log (for better or worse). This is independent of the weekly effect.
-Any items they accumulated last week are also reset (sorry you'll need to build up your weapon cache again), except items that were given out as event rewards. Please note that the item uses are not reset.
LOCATIONS UPDATED:
- garden, library, promenade
- aquarium β wintering room
- photography studio β tea room

WEEKLY EFFECT
This week the castle's whims have decided to put on a little fashion show! Characters may awaken to find themselves dressed in an outfit that they have once worn... or an outfit that they might have worn, in a future that has never come to pass. These clothes are not period-accurate and instead reflect the characters' own lives and thus worlds! It's time to shine in an outfit you absolutely love - or absolutely loathe!
The drawback is that these magical clothes also cannot be removed until sundown. Whatever outfit you woke up in? You're stuck in it! The only way to escape your dress-up fate is to damage the clothing, but if you do so you'll find yourself stuck naked until the beginning of the next day. The castle's strange properties do at least provide a little cloud of mist that will follow characters around for modesty reasons.
The new clothes will remain after the day of their appearance. They'll lose all strange properties and become garments that can simply be worn or discarded at will, like all other clothing.

(OOC: Counter proposals are open until Tuesday! Murder proposals are closed! Thank you all for your enthusiasm!)

I hope this is anticipatory rather than fearful. Unless you truly dislike learning about mythological beings.

Ah, but if you prefer to go elsewhere, I would be glad to take you there. Would the observatory suit your preferences more? Or the gardens, mayhap?
no subject
In terms of intensity, it would probably be garden > library > observatory.
Though maybe he and Ayaka can cross paths if the library and mythological creature books still win. ]
no subject
Yeah, it's time to go to the library. It's right in the middle in terms of vibration. ]
I think library suits us well, then. Shall we?
[ He'll tuck the capbybara under his arm in a way that allows it to still see out into the world as he opens the doors to the library. ]
no subject
Where shall their reading adventures lead them? It's just a capybara. ]
no subject
He will, in fact, be reading aloud to the plush until it comes to life and smacks him. ]
no subject
Then it'll be nyooming away! ]
no subject
He'll be gently folding the edge of that page down, however, and reading over it just to see what he can garner from it. ]
no subject
A knife? One from the workshop, notably.
Someone's going to be missing this, but it's fine. Clover can deal not having it in her pocket for five minutes.
...
It looks like it's... stuck. Like, very stuck. Uh oh. This wasn't the plan. ]
no subject
By the Twelve!
[ It takes him a second to recover because he's very much not anticipating a knife flying at him in the library.
...
Oh? Is this the knife from the workshop? The one Clover had? He'll quickly check the handle's color, but he's pulling it out of the table anyway. ]
no subject
Anyway. Give the knife a moment. It took a lot of effort to get up here and not kill G'raha by accident.
... ... ...
Wiggling. ]
no subject
Must you startle me? A simple tap would have been more than enough, I imagine.
no subject
sort of? "Stand"? On its blade.
... Okay. Very slowly, it will scratch into the wood, with appropriately scratchy handwriting: ]
PUFFY TAIL
no subject
Is it too dangerous to reach for the knife? He's... he's so tempted. ]
Don't inscribe that!
no subject
... It will write another thing, wobbly as it is: ]
HAPPY TO SEE YOU MOST BEAUTIFUL
[ This is gonna be where there's a three minute pause of that capybara too so soak that in. ]
no subject
It's fine. Dying by embarrassment isn't so bad anyway. He takes a seat at the table and watches, incredibly thankful he's the only one in here. ]
Likewise. [ A sigh. ] 'Tis a relief, as much embarrassment as this brings me.
no subject
Please hold far too warmly for three minutes.
... ... ...
The plush leaves and the knife straightens again. The message's tone is different than the previous, considering it's only two words: ]
READ HEDGEROW
no subject
He sits up straighter, focused as he pays attention to the message. ]
Alright. I shall go take a look right this moment.
[ Which he will!! Time to go see what this message is all about... ]
no subject
wobbling again before falling onto fairytale, like the plush before it.
Work it out, nerd. The knife seems exhausted of its use. For now. Clover come find your blade the date is over. ]
no subject
G'raha smiles at the knife, soft and sincere, before he works to cover up those marks.
...And to find that book and read it. ]
no subject
It will eventually give up this endeavor, notice the knife, turn into an unmoving object again for about three minutes, and then depart the room for real.
It will return to G'raha Tia at the end of the day if not sooner. ]
no subject
At least his new child returns to him later. ]
