[ The primary thing here is... blood. Lots of it.
Since Vanis is coming from the tea room on the first floor, he'll first see a
pool of blood
at the landing of the stairs! There is
splatter outward from the center of the pool
... and scattered nearby are a few
chestnut brown feathers
