You're wrapped in a soothing, all-encompassing darkness.

Well, perhaps not perfectly all-encompassing -- you can see some slivers of light here and there, just enough to realize that your current space is literally wrapped in something, and that you are a highly customized burrito at the mercy of an entirely too fluffy bed and set of blankets. Moreover: you are definitely not alone.

Depending upon the contents of your bed (two of you, waking up dressed exactly in what you wore last you remember back where each of you came from, in the exact same state as those last moments no matter how illogical or disjointed), it may not be comfortable or feasible to stay cocooned up for much longer. There's a low, muted GONG, GONGG coming from not far away, your bed creaks like a beleaguered ship in an unannounced storm, and it is joined by even more noises of movement beyond the bed canopy as you try to take stock of where you are.

Eventually, you either fall out of bed or drag yourself into this world: your new and strangely crowded personal rooms, the clock insistently sounding out the hour, and the halls and heraldry of the venerable Château Ambregris -- a lavishly decorated and fully furnished version of a more-or-less authentic French castle (assuming you know what France or a castle are).

Left to your own devices for the moment, you may find it helpful to explore the castle for your own purposes, check out the suspicious statues and personalized plaques in the Promenade of Reflexion, or perhaps to try to get to the bottom of the mysterious and frankly alarming amount of bread piled up in front of the place settings in the Banquet Hall. (Were you thinking of escaping? Any attempts to leave the property will be met with no forward progress at all, treadmill style). There's just about every kind of loaf, roll, boule, baguette, croissant or even animal-shaped bread you can think of stacked in baskets. There's absolutely nothing else save for plain bread, but at least you won't starve.

The bath looks lovely, but there's no way to enjoy them. I think that's really sad. If you can't do it fresh for everyone, can you at least do it for me when I ask?

[Chara isn't one for sympathy, especially not for strangers. They try to visualize Clover's feelings, but come up short. Although... they remember their initial feeling upon arriving...]

I think most of us left someone behind. [They hum. It's a neutral statement. True from an objective and personal sense, with nothing indicating where they stood.]

Driving is probably out of the question.

Nobody knows how we got here, I've noticed, they don't even remember being abducted.

[They nod. They wonder if they would be able to recognize any of the constellation. Was it something that ever interested them? They can hardly remember at this point.]

It's been a while since I've seen the stars to begin with. [Did they miss it? Looking at the sky, pretending to be far far far away? There were times of course when they were on the surface for an extended period of time. They saw the stars, the clouds...]

Which fate is preferable tends to vary by poison, but generally there's not much worse than starvation. [You guys have been here for FIVE MINUTES, Chara.]

[ Lili hadn't even noticed Ayaka lingering nearby, so when Ayaka speaks up, Lili looks a little startled. Then, she raises her sleeve to wipe at her eyes furiously before she shakes her head. ]

N-no. You should eat it. I've had more than enough.

[ She's probably right in that Lili should slow down. Shoving too much food into your system after a period of...not having too much of it...is probably going to make her feel a little ill later.

She's mildly embarrassed, but she pauses in her conquest to eat all this goddamn bread and clears her throat. ]

Hwy can tell he's upsetting this guy, and while it's not really his intent, he also doesn't mind that he's upsetting him. Content indifference is probably not the vibe you want from the person clinging to you. )

It was more than a few things, actually.

[It'd be foolish to take a presumed captor at their word, but confiscating weapons is really the bare minimum they ought to do anyways (ignore the flintlock in his hand). And so, the comment comes off less as a rebuke and more as a statement of fact.]

I’m not missing any clothes, and this appears to be the case for everyone present. What do you say to that?
