Mesdames et Messieurs, Voilà, C'est Vous
Bievenue
You're wrapped in a soothing, all-encompassing darkness.
Well, perhaps not perfectly all-encompassing -- you can see some slivers of light here and there, just enough to realize that your current space is literally wrapped in something, and that you are a highly customized burrito at the mercy of an entirely too fluffy bed and set of blankets. Moreover: you are definitely not alone.
Depending upon the contents of your bed (two of you, waking up dressed exactly in what you wore last you remember back where each of you came from, in the exact same state as those last moments no matter how illogical or disjointed), it may not be comfortable or feasible to stay cocooned up for much longer. There's a low, muted GONG, GONGG coming from not far away, your bed creaks like a beleaguered ship in an unannounced storm, and it is joined by even more noises of movement beyond the bed canopy as you try to take stock of where you are.
Eventually, you either fall out of bed or drag yourself into this world: your new and strangely crowded personal rooms, the clock insistently sounding out the hour, and the halls and heraldry of the venerable Château Ambregris -- a lavishly decorated and fully furnished version of a more-or-less authentic French castle (assuming you know what France or a castle are).
Left to your own devices for the moment, you may find it helpful to explore the castle for your own purposes, check out the suspicious statues and personalized plaques in the Promenade of Reflexion, or perhaps to try to get to the bottom of the mysterious and frankly alarming amount of bread piled up in front of the place settings in the Banquet Hall. (Were you thinking of escaping? Any attempts to leave the property will be met with no forward progress at all, treadmill style). There's just about every kind of loaf, roll, boule, baguette, croissant or even animal-shaped bread you can think of stacked in baskets. There's absolutely nothing else save for plain bread, but at least you won't starve.
[OOC: Welcome to Château Ambregris, a perfectly normal castle receiving perfectly normal guests. Feel free to ask any questions in discord! The NPC Meet & Greet will be later today, March 8 at 6 PM EST/3 PM PST.]

When he realizes he's in an unknown place, and in pain, he scurries out of the bed, and runs towards the nearest place he can think of: the powder room. He enters, locks it behind him, and stays there quite some time.
When he comes out, he's pale, but he has adjusted his red cloak to kind of hide the bloodstain on the front of his body. He leaves the villa without really talking to anyone -- or at least tries to, feel free to catch up to him in the sitting room area while he's on his way out.
-----------
From there, Scarlet is exploring, and once he finds there's no way out, you might find him in various locations. Perhaps he'll be at the solarium, exploring and trying to look out of the windows]
...I can't see anything...
[Maybe because he's too short to see outside, at least if we assume there are a whole bunch of plants on the lower half of these windowwalls!
Or maybe you'll find him staring daggers at one of the bread baskets, before he pushes it away, shaking his head.
Or maybe he'll be at the Mars room! Looking around at the incredible collection of weaponry in this place!]
This kind of stash is disquieting, don't you think? But it's fine. Most are ornamental.
bread
...and then pushing it away?]
It's not poisoned. Probably. Wouldn't really know.
[She says, eating the bread.]
no subject
We're in a place we don't know. There's no reason to take the risk.
[Truthfully, even if someone ate all the bread, he'd still think something is off! Because what if this bread isn't poisoned, but then more appears, and those are the ones poisoned? It's not really paranoia, really, that's just being reasonably cautious, in his opinion!]
cw: suicidal ideation
[She might actually be able to die here. Maybe. Is that just being hopeful? That some higher power might grant her some mercy?]
Not that it'd make a whole lot of sense for whoever's running this show to poison us now. Like, why go through all the trouble?

[Sometimes cruelty is all that can drive a person's motivation, and what's more cruel than dangling something vital in front of you, only for it to turn out to be dangerous?
That part about herself sure gets Scarlet's attention. He lowers his voice out of discretion, in case she doesn't want this to be information spread all over the place]
You know now I have a whole lot of questions, right...?

I don't want to be trapped in a house full of a disjointed collection of strangers ranging from suspicious to blatantly evil with no weapons. Not to mention possible threats from outside the house.
[The key to safety, everyone having a murder weapon.]
no subject
[Scarlet is fine admitting to being extremely cautious in a way that accuses others of bad intentions, that's for sure]
no subject
[Plenty of others would dress it up in platitudes like "not wanting to doubt anyone." As if that means anything here.]
Even if none of us are responsible for us being here, being cautious and militant when surrounded by potentially dangerous and powerful strangers is only common sense.
no subject
[Especially in the circles he moves in. Someone lacking in caution is as good as dead]
mars room
[ yoru's just peeking in. he's not very interested in weapons and doesn't seem eager to touch anything in here. ]
How can you tell?
no subject
[And he has had yeaaaaars to get familiar with all kinds of weapons, although firearms are what he's more familiar with]

[His eyes look away a little. He seems a little bit uneasy when he says this. Even though he's a great marksman and his familiarity with firearms in general is good, he still doesn't like using violence]

yes, sure, of course she thinks so. of course jinx—the one currently scouring the vast collection with the aim of getting her fingies on anything not ornamental—would think s— ]
Sucks, right?
[ -oh, oops.
catch her on her tiptoes trying to steal a helmet off a suit of armor. she turns to scarlet, the traces of a thought bumping around in her head like an old screensaver reflected into the look in her eyes... before she takes stock of something about him and turns back to attempting that little task solo. ]
You calling dibs on anything that's not part of that "most"?

[Not because he's eager to go shooting people, he just is so used to having his sniper rifle on his back whenever he's out there]

You don't...like bread? Or the shapes?

Solarium
[Hello Scarlet, Break is lounging in one the chairs to the side, a spoon dangling loosely from the hand he gestures with, as his other clutches an unopened fruit jam jar.]
no subject
[Somehow, Scarlet makes that sound like he's actually puzzled about this. He'd like to think he looks like an efficient person, not someone who would dilly-dally with botany!]
But no. I was trying to see this manor's surroundings.
no subject
[Compared to anything else, anyway.]
Would it not be easier to see the surroundings by walking the perimeter outside? Windows would only get you so far, after all.

Tulip
It's then Scarlet walks out, and she lets out a passive-aggressive:]
Took you long enough. What's got you fighting for your fucking life in there?
[The boy does look a little pale, so maybe he was genuinely sick. Still, he has personally inconvenienced her. How dare he.]
no subject
[Like that's just something to admit. He'll later blame this on the lingering shock of having almost died -- because really, in any other situation he'd deflect that comment from Shiv]
cw gross? I'm sorry
[She looks a little bit more concerned than she did before. Her standards do go up to "caring about someone getting a serious injury" at the very least.]
