Mesdames et Messieurs, Voilà, C'est Vous
Bievenue
You're wrapped in a soothing, all-encompassing darkness.
Well, perhaps not perfectly all-encompassing -- you can see some slivers of light here and there, just enough to realize that your current space is literally wrapped in something, and that you are a highly customized burrito at the mercy of an entirely too fluffy bed and set of blankets. Moreover: you are definitely not alone.
Depending upon the contents of your bed (two of you, waking up dressed exactly in what you wore last you remember back where each of you came from, in the exact same state as those last moments no matter how illogical or disjointed), it may not be comfortable or feasible to stay cocooned up for much longer. There's a low, muted GONG, GONGG coming from not far away, your bed creaks like a beleaguered ship in an unannounced storm, and it is joined by even more noises of movement beyond the bed canopy as you try to take stock of where you are.
Eventually, you either fall out of bed or drag yourself into this world: your new and strangely crowded personal rooms, the clock insistently sounding out the hour, and the halls and heraldry of the venerable Château Ambregris -- a lavishly decorated and fully furnished version of a more-or-less authentic French castle (assuming you know what France or a castle are).
Left to your own devices for the moment, you may find it helpful to explore the castle for your own purposes, check out the suspicious statues and personalized plaques in the Promenade of Reflexion, or perhaps to try to get to the bottom of the mysterious and frankly alarming amount of bread piled up in front of the place settings in the Banquet Hall. (Were you thinking of escaping? Any attempts to leave the property will be met with no forward progress at all, treadmill style). There's just about every kind of loaf, roll, boule, baguette, croissant or even animal-shaped bread you can think of stacked in baskets. There's absolutely nothing else save for plain bread, but at least you won't starve.
[OOC: Welcome to Château Ambregris, a perfectly normal castle receiving perfectly normal guests. Feel free to ask any questions in discord! The NPC Meet & Greet will be later today, March 8 at 6 PM EST/3 PM PST.]
narcissus room
Wrong. Something's wrong. Somewhere in the haze, she snaps to her senses, fully awake.]
Did I faint...? Her--
[Glimpsing Ayaka's silhouette staggering away, she throws her legs over the side of the bed and gets (equally unsteadily, actually) to her feet. She ignores the other beds and the nigh-unrecognizable room and makes a beeline for her, whether they make it out of the bedroom door before they collide or not.]
You. [Her voice is a little hoarse.] Not another step until you explain yourself. Why were you in bed with me?

saber will not be coming to save her. this might be her end. ]
I- I don't know. Th-this isn't my bed. This isn't my room. [ she takes a step back, blue eyes fixed on her like a deer in the headlights. with a raspy voice, she makes a single request. ] Please, leave me alone.
no subject
Andrew pauses, her eyes flicking for signs of movement. The other canopies are undisturbed, so it's hard to tell. She lowers her voice.]
Calm down. I don't care about what you are or if you ran away. But we're going to figure out what happened and why we are here... regardless of your involvement.
Step outside. If the door's unlocked, that'll tell us something right away.

but the mysterious woman is right. if they're free to go then... that means that she's not trapped. or does it just mean that the cage she's been shoved in is just a bit bigger than she thought?
without resistance, she nods, and turns around to turn the knob. and it does, without resistance. ]
It's...open?
[ she steps out, and looks around. ]
Is there anyone here?
no subject
[Maybe it was all lies, and she serves this household after all.
She follows the Sanrit(?) girl out, fussing with the tight cuffs of her sleeves around her wrists and making sure each button is secure in time.]
How lavish. Are we guests, do you suppose? [She chuckles as if it's some secret joke.]
no subject
[ but she's right. ayaka walks out, looking around at all sides. it's her first time alone in the past few days, and being without saber feels painful in a way. she ignores it as she continues walking out. ]
Hello?! Is anyone here!?
no subject
I just thought you'd be a little more cautious. I'm worth more alive, for the time being.
[She steps out into the vestibule. More doors... this has to be a rather large building. Let's check the powder room, then.]
no subject
[ ayaka turns around, and whatever little bravado she had for a second melts away when she realizes the other woman's shaky hand. she sighs, and walks a bit closer to her. ]
Sorry. The past days I've had have been a little crazy to say the least... maybe that idiot has rubbed off on me more than I thought.
[ saber... she wonders where the lionhearted servant could be. but maybe it's for the best if they don't meet again. ]
If you're that important, then maybe it's better if you stay behind. I'd hate to cause you more trouble.
no subject
How odd... from a Sanrit. I wonder if perhaps you come from Harriet?
[Then she shakes her head.]
Never mind. I'm feeling rather brave of late. [And upon opening the door, it is... a powder room. A dead end. Well then.]
no subject
[ what are those words she's saying.
regardless, she opens the door and ayaka's heart nearly stops but... oh. powder room. ]
This place has way too many rooms.
no subject
[Andrew shuts the powder room door again and turns, putting her back to it.]
I don't understand... how did we end up in a place like this? We might get lost before we can even try to escape. [She bypasses the sitting room door to wave toward the entrance of the vestibule instead. It just makes sense for the layout that she's seen so far. They must be in an entryway of some sort.] That should be the one we want.
no subject
[ well, she doesn't really understand the extent of the arcane to judge whether or not this is possible. all she knows is that it has happened and that they need to leave as quickly as possible.
she follows andrew, walking ahead to the door and pressing her ear against the wood. when she hears nothing but still silence, she looks back at the other person. ]
I'm going to open it. Are you ready?
no subject
Those things considered, there's really no choice but to be ready.]
