...I abandoned my brother to join the endless carnival. I didn't want him to get hurt, and he would have died if he went inside, I'm sure, but selfishly...

It was for myself, too. It freed me from the life I had more than anything else could have.

[Well, with that out of the way, the ruby goes on to the scale. She does not feel any better getting it off her chest, but it was easier to deal with this confession the second time around.]
