WEEK TWO
WEEK TWO
30 Guests
You're wrapped in a soothing, all-encompassing darkness.
You've had a good nights sleep, a very good nights sleep, much like the one on Thursday night. No matter where you slept (on a chair, under a bed, in a closet), you wake up in a bed with a stranger—no, you know this person. You just spent the past weekend with them, forced to go through a hell carnival, how could you forget? Your mind is full of fog and sleep calls to you, but it's elusive.
You're at ChΓ’teau Ambregris, brought here against your will by a terrible Witch. So why is it that you're dressed in your old clothes again? Why does your body feel the same as it does when you woke up here a week ago? Maybe this time you won't hit your head. The clocks all gong within minutes, so at least this time it seems, you won't need to wait too long for answers. Though, it seems things aren't exactly as you remember them...
TIME LOOP:
-Characters wake up with the clothes they had with them at their canon point, like in the intro log.
-The state of their bodies is exactly the same as it was on the intro log (for better or worse).
-Any items they accumulated last week are also reset (sorry you'll need to build up your weapon cache again), except items that were given out as event rewards. Please note that the item uses are not reset.
LOCATIONS UPDATED:
-library, workshop
- pool β mud bath, throne room β menagerie
- rose soap and candle details have been updated for villas for clarity

WEEKLY EFFECT
This week's effect is mood weather. Is your character really happy? Rainbows might appear all around them. Sad? Watch out for that raincloud above your head. Having doki's? Flowers might suddenly spring up under their feet. These effects are just suggestions, feel free to riff as you like and make anger lightning of your dreams. Notably, these effects will appear even if your character has a great poker face, but is still inwardly feeling emotions.
This effect, like the weather itself, is intermittent throughout the week.

I don't know if it'll matter much after the fact. Or how much it'll help us if someone takes The Witch up on his offer.
no subject
[To admit outloud, that is.]
Someone will take him up on it. A wish is a fair bit more appealing than just raw emotion.
I would have considered it, if I'd been drawn into this world at a different stage in my development.

...
But maybe it's because Chara's like you. Just a little.)
Regardless they hunch into their cloak a little more, seemingly ashamed of themselves for it, before lifting their head at the other's words. ]
... A wish is a powerful thing. He says he can grant them, but... that isn't easy. There's a ritual to follow.
[ Besides.
It can't be that easy. Just wish away another timeloop. ]
Or you don't believe in them?
no subject
It's not that I don't believe in wishes.
There is nothing to gain for me anymore. I have no wishes. No desires that he could possibly grant.
I think my disenchantment with them has a lot less to do with a lack of belief on my end and a lot more to do with the experience of having my wishes come true.
no subject
Most people won't have that experience, but... I'm glad to know that you won't be swayed. I think... we should stick together. Um, you, me, and Homura.
[ Since they're alike! Probably. ]
no subject
[They nod, however.]
Our present situation requires some degree of cooperation, especially among those of us who have experience with this particular problem.

...
(The Time Trio.
You think it's a great name!) ]
I guess it wouldn't be the first time we had a lot riding on us, huh? Kinda old hat, now...
[ Not that it makes it easier to deal with. Exhausting. But at least having others...
...
Makes it better. It always does. ]
Do you mind if I ask? How long you've been in yours, or were in yours. If you're lucky enough to have broken it.
no subject
...For most of it, I actually believed that I was the one causing it.
[They seem almost amused at the idea. The hubris behind it.]
It actually wasn't technically my first time. Some degree of power over time is a constant throughline for humans with a particularly heavy amount of DETERMINATION when they encounter the less magically restrained realm of monsters.
Although last time had far less in the way of limits - this one was only through a stretch of about a day or two - sometimes it would continue for a while after that.
One time it continued two to three years after we'd already reached the ending, only to come right back to the start.
But I broke out of it, yes.
I don't know how long it lasted. Time doesn't actually mean much of anything when you're in the position that... I... was in.
no subject
(Haha. Right. Who could cause their own time loop? That's ridiculous.
Determination... Chara mentioned that before, too.
Not a set time? You're already pained by the amount you're given, no matter how much you try to stretch it out. You can't imagine going for years, only to wake back up in that meadow.
...
It'd be nice to see them again, though. Your family members. It isn't like you're all staying together after the end.)
And a nod when they're done. ]
... Um. Loosely, I've been working at it for around "four months" now. [ Time doesn't matter. But it's stuck with them, since yesterday. ] It lasts two days, unless I end it earlier, and then it resets. I don't know what caused it to start in the first place, but I know what ends it. Just... not why.
[ Siffrin doesn't seem as hesitant to share what they know about their own, but. Part of it is because maybe, just maybe, they can find out how to break it from someone else's experience. ]
