WEEK TWO
WEEK TWO
30 Guests
You're wrapped in a soothing, all-encompassing darkness.
You've had a good nights sleep, a very good nights sleep, much like the one on Thursday night. No matter where you slept (on a chair, under a bed, in a closet), you wake up in a bed with a stranger—no, you know this person. You just spent the past weekend with them, forced to go through a hell carnival, how could you forget? Your mind is full of fog and sleep calls to you, but it's elusive.
You're at ChΓ’teau Ambregris, brought here against your will by a terrible Witch. So why is it that you're dressed in your old clothes again? Why does your body feel the same as it does when you woke up here a week ago? Maybe this time you won't hit your head. The clocks all gong within minutes, so at least this time it seems, you won't need to wait too long for answers. Though, it seems things aren't exactly as you remember them...
TIME LOOP:
-Characters wake up with the clothes they had with them at their canon point, like in the intro log.
-The state of their bodies is exactly the same as it was on the intro log (for better or worse).
-Any items they accumulated last week are also reset (sorry you'll need to build up your weapon cache again), except items that were given out as event rewards. Please note that the item uses are not reset.
LOCATIONS UPDATED:
-library, workshop
- pool β mud bath, throne room β menagerie
- rose soap and candle details have been updated for villas for clarity

WEEKLY EFFECT
This week's effect is mood weather. Is your character really happy? Rainbows might appear all around them. Sad? Watch out for that raincloud above your head. Having doki's? Flowers might suddenly spring up under their feet. These effects are just suggestions, feel free to riff as you like and make anger lightning of your dreams. Notably, these effects will appear even if your character has a great poker face, but is still inwardly feeling emotions.
This effect, like the weather itself, is intermittent throughout the week.

I'll bid a favor. Shall I lose, I will do one favor for you.
[ Now, he has a right to reject it, but that goes unsaid. She can probably fill in that blank on her own. ]
no subject
And if I lose? Do you want the same in return?
no subject
I will take whatever you want to wager.
no subject
[Is she joking about her physical weakness? Sarcastic? There's a little blinking of the starry field that occasionally pops up to betray her feelings.]
All right, then. I will give you something you need when you require it.
no subject
We will consider it a deal, then!
[ He's going to place his bet on Lauren! Represent him well...
gonna go ahead and roll here............... a 3 ]
no subject
His sunshine might not betray her amusement, but there is the little twinkles around Grace signaling hers.]
Oh, my.
[Lauren will have to beat the 15 that gives a nice headstart to the other lanky capybara, who she hasn't named because she hasn't internalized the names of any of her other classmates, probably, or because she hasn't decided on one. It's one of the two.]
no subject
A real shame he hasn't bought that glowstick emote from the cash shop.
He really should have bought that emote, because she doesn't speed up much, if at all (5). ]
Begin thinking of favors you would like from me, Andrew.
no subject
[This is playing out how she expected it to play out, and yet Andrew doesn't seem cocky despite that confidence.
Though portly, the little capybara is at least pleasant... and a bit dumb and entirely unbothered. She's much more excited by the goings-on and the people and the food. If anything, the other competitors just want to get away from the noise, so they're meandering closer to the finish purely out of self-interest and only coming out on top though sheer luck (10).
To do a little better, Lauren need only be slightly better than average.]
no subject
G'raha looks surprised. ]
To think she would improve so drastically...
no subject
[Lauren might save your life one day, G'raha.]
But will it be enough?
[Against an 11... It's anybody's bet.]
no subject
Either way, Lauren's burst of energy seems to dissipate and she slows right down, mildly distracted by some wayward fruit on the ground. ]
Ah... Perhaps not.
no subject
Andrew stands still.]
Did you expect something a little more climactic?
no subject
Well... I suppose I did.
[ All they're doing is standing around while the capybaras get distracted by food. It's not what he would call thrilling. ]
no subject
[She named hers well, Andrew thinks with a childish spike of smugness.]
This is a much different grand display than the last week, but I think we did well to take part.
no subject
[ Or maybe... because of it??? ]
I must admit I much prefer this task than the previous week's.
no subject
[Which... well. They rather are, and she sees them that way.
Her father would have never tolerated a pet, and Andrew herself knows... one might have taken too much of Herta's time or taken a liking to her, and how could she have shared that? So she's thankful, maybe, that there was nothing soft and warm in that house.]
As stupid and a waste of time as it's seemed... [That part was muttered, so she perks back up:] so do I. Maybe he thought we'd be too resistant to really enjoy ourselves. I think it sent a message to participate.
no subject
Even a waste of time can be fruitful, Andrew.
[ JUST SAYING... ]
I wonder if he will give us another harrowing task next week, however. Mayhap this one will be considered too easy.
no subject
[She looks a little huffy, though it might be hard to tell how much is genuine pouting and how much is just adopting a haughty princess attitude.]
I think that the higher your spirits, the harder they fall. Though he may give us these things to lift them, I think he also enjoys it.
[So she seems... conflicted about engaging with the capybara races, even if ultimately, she seemed to delight in drawing people into them, too.]
no subject
I have to wonder that myself. 'Tis an oddly specific task to assign us, is it not?
no subject
It's rather fun getting people to cheer for them or behave a little silly at their soul-crushing losses...
no subject
[ He wonders... is it a different atmosphere than what she's used to? ]
no subject
I don't know. It's annoying, but I don't hate it. I've never bothered with it before, so I can stay a little longer.
[There have been very few bright spots. Her pen had much higher walls than the ones keeping these animals.]
no subject
[ It was something he did often, at one point in his life.
He'll be content to stay with her and simply watch, too.
