TRIAL II

Trial

At least this time you were given ample time to wreck your sleep schedule before the clocks gong at midnight (no apologies for such little sleep in the first place withstanding). The carnival looks just as you remember it, with the banquet and drinks refreshed. The spread is the same as before with two new additions: a platter of cute cupcakes that might remind you of someone, along with baozi of all types.

Like before, mind the pit in the middle and settle in to vote out the guilty party for the death of Siobhan "Shiv" Roy. With the benefit of experience, maybe this will be a little bit easier? With the mood weather lifted, there won't be any floods at trial at least.

(( OOC: Welcome to your first trial! You'll have 7 hours (until 8 PM EDT/5 PM PDT) to vote one (1) person guilty of murder. As this is scapegoat style, a correct vote is not necessary. Please remember to vote unless otherwise discussed with the mods, as that is our AC for this game ))

[She was going to ask if she could have some but he just... climbed in? They're just swimming in it? That's so unhygenic...]

[ No... No it's okay, Siffrin's only got a corner right now... Just the face, Andrew, the only one swimming in theirs is Hwy, Siffrin's a Normal, Sane Person who isn't going to need to clean his cloak for the second time today.

So when he comes back up, catching Andrew's eyes, Siffrin'll blink and then look down at the tart.

... ]

You can, um. Have the other side.

That's all right. [Dislikes: germs.]

How are your nerves? I'm glad nothing happened in the solarium even if the door was open.

Better, now that I'm not responsible for talking in front of a large group of people.

[ So... much better. Listening and chiming in is their preferred method of conversation. ]

... How are you? Smoke... isn't really good, for your lungs.

[ ... Siffrin's been keeping an eye on her when they can manage, truthfully. Since it came out about the library fire. Seeing her keel over again wouldn't be pleasant. ]

I'm about how I expected.

[She is fortunate that Ish stopped the fire before it got worse. Perhaps she really might genuinely need to thank him.

But she has been coughing now and then ever since Sabo carried her out of the library.
]

You really are shy, aren't you?

[ A nod! Quiet, to boot. They would very much rather spend their time just sitting at a party and listening to everyone chatter...

... What a luxury. ]

Even Odile's more talkative than I am, and we're both the kind of people who prefer to let our more... outgoing family members talk to everyone else. If one of them were here, they'd agree.

[ (But

you're really glad they aren't here. Because they can't know what you've been hiding from them.)

Nevermind, though, that Siffrin's actually quite the talker at times. There's just a level of comfort. ]

You've got a rather big family.

[She... doesn't know if she envies that or not. She simply can't comprehend what familial love really looks or feels like. Andrew doesn't even know how to wrap her mind around it when she sees it. She only knows how much she's wanted it.]

No matter how long you're apart, I've discovered, people don't love or miss them any less.

the way you hurt me, shay

[personal profile] siffriend 2025-03-22 11:23 pm (UTC)(link)
... Yeah. I miss them a lot, right now.

[ But at the beginning of the week, they don't. Because they'd just seen them, even if it wasn't in a situation they wanted to ever see them in, even if it was the worst thing The King could have done to make a point

Siffrin could still remember them, faces fresh, at the start of a week. That's so nice. ]

... I guess they must miss me too, then.
