SECOND EXECUTION

Execution

Like last week, you hear the gong, gong of the bells. Unlike last week, you don't get immediately tugged into the promenade of reflexion. There'll be a pull, an itch, but you can ignore it if you so desire. Mercy, perhaps, for all that happened yesterday.

If you do walk into the promenande, the scene is much the same as last week. The mirrors reflect a grassy field, though this time, one lone structure inhabits the field. A worn, cracked but still standing half oval amphitheater with a simple stone stage. Only one figure is reflected in the mirrors, the falsely accused alone with his wide brimmed hat standing directly in stage center.

[Without any other warning, he throws himself at Blade because this is what's happening now I guess. He may be outweighed, but he has momentum on his side!]

[ because he isn't listening, he goes down, timber because momentum is on his side (we can have this in the past time before Ish gets revived) ]

[ And then he's just staring blankly up. Why did everything stop shaking?? ]

[He looks around vigilantly, seeing no collapsing statues or the ceiling coming down on them. Everything is quite intact, and while Ish's presence will fully register with him a little later, right now he's recognizing that it wasn't an emergency at all.

And, right, he's still on top of Blade.

So it wasn't an earthquake.

[With that non-answer, he moves off the other man with his usual composure and stands up, casually dusting off his pants.]

[ Comical stare as this happens...and then he sits up, shaking his head. ]

...it probably was. On a technicality.

[ Too bad it means the bastard isn't dead, Blade doesn't say but I am happy to say that he is exactly the type of character to even potentially think of the word 'bastard', literally. ]
