[Waking up these Mondays feels so strange - the plummeting ice bucket feeling of falling asleep on Sunday night feeling compressed and waking Monday morning to feel unfolded and new.
It's much more jarring when someone is screaming a few feet away.
Andrew snaps up out of bed a little abruptly at the scream, one hand snapping to her pillow. There's nothing there, of course. No, there isn't nothing... something jumps away from her hand and flutters to the top of the bed canopy. The response to the scream - and the wake-up song - from above the bed sounds like... barking? Angry and annoyed or laughing throatily, but between the two, it could be either.]
