WEEK FOUR
WEEK FOUR
25 Guests
The day is rung in by a myriad clocks tolling at once.
It's a familiar sound. It's the first time you're hearing it.
Once again, Monday is upon you, and once again you have just arrived at the castle to meet your new roommates. The last week is gone without a trace - nothing there to remind you of its existence. Injuries have been replaced with the old aches you may have felt before coming here, keepsakes have vanished and decorations have returned to their original state.
Formally, this is a clean slate and a fresh start. But that's not how it feels in your mind - your bodies may be rewound, but your hearts are steadily continuing, carrying the weight of a time that never was.
As always, the castle is new and old at once. Static, yet ever-changing. The curious minds among you may find it a good idea to explore a little.
TIME LOOP:
-Characters wake up with the clothes they had with them at their canon point, like in the intro log unless you wish to have them affected by the weekly effect as early as Monday.
-The state of their bodies is still exactly the same as it was on the intro log (for better or worse). This is independent of the weekly effect.
-Any items they accumulated last week are also reset (sorry you'll need to build up your weapon cache again), except items that were given out as event rewards. Please note that the item uses are not reset.
LOCATIONS UPDATED:
- garden, library, promenade
- aquarium β wintering room
- photography studio β tea room

WEEKLY EFFECT
This week the castle's whims have decided to put on a little fashion show! Characters may awaken to find themselves dressed in an outfit that they have once worn... or an outfit that they might have worn, in a future that has never come to pass. These clothes are not period-accurate and instead reflect the characters' own lives and thus worlds! It's time to shine in an outfit you absolutely love - or absolutely loathe!
The drawback is that these magical clothes also cannot be removed until sundown. Whatever outfit you woke up in? You're stuck in it! The only way to escape your dress-up fate is to damage the clothing, but if you do so you'll find yourself stuck naked until the beginning of the next day. The castle's strange properties do at least provide a little cloud of mist that will follow characters around for modesty reasons.
The new clothes will remain after the day of their appearance. They'll lose all strange properties and become garments that can simply be worn or discarded at will, like all other clothing.

(OOC: Counter proposals are open until Tuesday! Murder proposals are closed! Thank you all for your enthusiasm!)

But everything slows down, and he can't stop Ayaka before she comes between them, as he sees the knife sink into her shoulder. ]
Ayaka!
[ He's instantly reaching around her, holding onto the grip of the knife in a way that keeps it in until they can get something for the bleeding, but also so that knife doesn't have any kind of license to dig it's way any deeper. ]

[ To Richard. It's too bad... No, it's good they can't see Siffrin's expression. The voice is calm. ]
Are you scared?
[ To Ayaka. ]
You had plenty of time to confess.
[ To both. ]
It seems no one would've lifted a hand to punish you, anyway.

and yet she laughs, raspy and broken. she's felt pain like this before. so many times, in so many lifetimes, that it's almost familiar to her. ]
Hahah, shut up. You think this... is punishment?
[ she's resting her forehead on richard's chest, biting back from screaming in pain. ]
Fine. Curse me all you want, Siffrin. I'm used to it. I don't want your forgiveness.
no subject
Doesn't seem like anything will punish her or Richard though, in the end. The knife remains quiet. ]

[Urianger is putting the "anger" in Urianger from the tone of his voice.]
Did what G'raha say mean so little to thee? What hath this accomplished, save for satiating thy thirst for vengeance? I understand thy rage- the unfairness of thy sacrifice as the true culprits stood by and said nothing. I was furious on thy behalf in the moment, and I am just as furious now that the truth hath been laid bare.
But this doth naught to aid our situation.
[There is no moral high ground to be found here, and Urianger knows that. But to him, all this is doing is sewing chaos when they should be locking the fuck in to escape this nightmare.
Finished speaking, he turns his attention to Ayaka to see what he can do to help. He doesn't agree with what she and Richard did, but the last thing they need right now is another death on their hands.]

But...perhaps she is not entirely powerless. Maybe there is more she could have done before, but all she can do is act in the present.
Many are occupied, but there are two people who come to mind immediately who can, maybe, help her do something. She has to try. She can't just sit here and continue to allow this to happen.
She turns her attention to Urianger and G'raha. Gives them both an immensely determined glance. ]
Observatory. Give me one hour.
[ And with that, she's off. ]

Whatever it is, Urianger will be there.]

[Said neutrally, like it's a fact. They think this whole exchange is embarrassing and pointless.]

In the end, as long as it doesnβt escalate further, this is between those in the cycle of revenge.]

... I'm sorry. If I had access to my magic, I would be able to heal this.

Once it simmers down, Cain quietly strides over to him, correctly places a hand on his shoulder, stares at him. ]
...When you have a moment.
[ And he'll leave. ]

[ He doesn't like hearing them like this. It twists something in his chest, hard and hot and despondent.
And while it's true that he's angry, angry that Siffrin died despite his innocence and angry that they're so hellbent on their vengeance... he's mostly exhausted. That exhaustion sits heavy on his shoulders, cumbersome in a way that makes it difficult to divert his gaze from the floor. ]
I believed that my words would hold more weight. 'Twould seem I was mistaken.

If knives could shrink, maybe this one would. But as it stands--
it remains quiet, perhaps gazing at the ground itself. ]

Get someone with a spray. I'll keep applying pressure.

... For what that's worth. ]

Quietly:]
...Are you satisfied?

You can't... pull the knife out?

[He's going to peer over at the wound even as his hands get covered in blood. There's worse places to be stabbed, but he can imagine the experience isn't pleasant.]
We have to slow the bleeding first.

[She's a talking capybara, so any emotion is hard to get out of her. But she does sound a little accelerated.]
There should be one in Narcissus. Lili gave me another; I only had Chara's in my possession before...

Thank you. We'll go get it.

[ He's a little unsure of what to say, except he nods. ]
Thank you.
[ He's not letting go of that knife until he gets forced off it, though. ]
