WEEK FOUR
WEEK FOUR
25 Guests
The day is rung in by a myriad clocks tolling at once.
It's a familiar sound. It's the first time you're hearing it.
Once again, Monday is upon you, and once again you have just arrived at the castle to meet your new roommates. The last week is gone without a trace - nothing there to remind you of its existence. Injuries have been replaced with the old aches you may have felt before coming here, keepsakes have vanished and decorations have returned to their original state.
Formally, this is a clean slate and a fresh start. But that's not how it feels in your mind - your bodies may be rewound, but your hearts are steadily continuing, carrying the weight of a time that never was.
As always, the castle is new and old at once. Static, yet ever-changing. The curious minds among you may find it a good idea to explore a little.
TIME LOOP:
-Characters wake up with the clothes they had with them at their canon point, like in the intro log unless you wish to have them affected by the weekly effect as early as Monday.
-The state of their bodies is still exactly the same as it was on the intro log (for better or worse). This is independent of the weekly effect.
-Any items they accumulated last week are also reset (sorry you'll need to build up your weapon cache again), except items that were given out as event rewards. Please note that the item uses are not reset.
LOCATIONS UPDATED:
- garden, library, promenade
- aquarium ā wintering room
- photography studio ā tea room

WEEKLY EFFECT
This week the castle's whims have decided to put on a little fashion show! Characters may awaken to find themselves dressed in an outfit that they have once worn... or an outfit that they might have worn, in a future that has never come to pass. These clothes are not period-accurate and instead reflect the characters' own lives and thus worlds! It's time to shine in an outfit you absolutely love - or absolutely loathe!
The drawback is that these magical clothes also cannot be removed until sundown. Whatever outfit you woke up in? You're stuck in it! The only way to escape your dress-up fate is to damage the clothing, but if you do so you'll find yourself stuck naked until the beginning of the next day. The castle's strange properties do at least provide a little cloud of mist that will follow characters around for modesty reasons.
The new clothes will remain after the day of their appearance. They'll lose all strange properties and become garments that can simply be worn or discarded at will, like all other clothing.

but anyway, presumably Homura is here because something something primroses. ]
... You do not think it is a little late to be trying to teach novices how to handle guns as old as these safely?
[ especially when she's still not sure that half of the things in the Mars Room can be counted on to fire reliably and not misfire or blow up in someone's hands due to lack of maintenance or knowledge? like, who's going to think to clean out the barrel between shots? or, or, or- ]

Moffu. Fumo moffu fumo, fumoffu moffuru fumo-fumo.
[Moving over to the table, it picks up a sheet of paper and shows it to Homura. It reads, "You can never be too safe."]

... I suppose we'd only really have ourselves to blame if we accidentally gave ourselves reason for another carnival even after the Witch said there supposedly wouldn't be any more.
[ this might as well be happening. ]
And what do you intend to do if your students do not understand you through the language barrier?
[ 'why are you talking like that ...' ]

[He does not know what this means. But please, give him a gun. He is here to learn.]

Fumoffu!
[With deft movements despite the lack of, well, fingers, it picks up a pistol from the table and runs through the motions of checking if the gun is loaded. The whole time, it continues to make fumo-ing and moffu-ing noises, like it's giving a lecture or instructions. Once the process is complete, it grasps the gun by the barrel and holds it out to Junior with the muzzle pointed away from any of the party-goers.]

Guess we didn't have enough budget for Mickey?

Do I want to know?

[After a pause, it reaches behind the gun safety session sign and pulls out a piece of paper with a simple message: "Yes".]

brief shadowbringers spoilers
Heās a little wary of guns only because he once got injured by one in what feels like a faraway time, but⦠heāll listen to what this mascot has to say. ]
A useful station for us. I do believe we could use this instruction, myself included.

Fumo!
[The large eyes appear to stare at G'raha for a moment, after which it takes a few papers from the table, holding one out for him to take. The words on the sheet are handwritten in relatively neat print and is titled, "Rules of Gun Safety". It lists a number of basic rules such as not pointing the muzzle at something you don't intend to shoot, keeping your finger off the trigger, etc.
Very reasonable, if, you know, the instructor wasn't incomprehensible otherwise.]

You're a cute little guy. [ Patting him on the head! ] What's this about guns?

Fumoffu fumo.
[There's a gesture over to the sign on the table, and it uses its arms to pantomime holding a gun and racking the slide back which... obviously doesn't mean shit here with the age of these guns, but it glances at him like it's confirming if he understands.]

[It stares at Chara after saying that, but it does reach out with one of its arms to accept. Despite lacking an actual hand, it's still able to grip theirs for a proper handshake. It's soft.]
