INVESTIGATION

Being forced asleep the second the clock struck midnight has been an ill-omen for weeks now. Yet this morning sees you waking not to explosions and smoke, but to the comfortable feeling of eight hours of uninterrupted rest. It's 8 in the morning and the sun is already out, and all is quiet around Chateau Ambregris.

Do you dare hope that you can face the day without further bloodshed? That Ish's announcement of needing no more bodies has stilled the restless violence in everybody's hearts? They say time heals all wounds, but has this ever-repeating week truly had the same effect?

[ ish's voice filters over the grounds, broadcast from the ballroom. he's wearing something different from his usual, perhaps getting in on the style this week( cape in purple with matching general cap). ]

Well, well, it looks like we're ending this all with a bang, huh?

[ compared to the last announcements, ish is in full clown form for this one. ]

I could blame you but I won't! As always, for the last time I'm here as your host to your carnival!

Sariel and G'raha Tia have fallen in the final hour but don't despair. You still have the time to grasp the truth for yourself before we depart.

I'll see you at midnight.

[ Well, wherever he is, it doesn't matter, because he doesn't get to the body in time before the announcement is there.

Blade's reaction is small, in the grand scheme of things.

Dan Heng is with him, so he can see him lean against a wall, shaking, a sharp noise escaping him - caught between maybe a laugh mixed with an anguished noised - and then that goes quiet. It doesn't last long because he pushes himself off, and strides off to investigate, but it's...something...he's still sane enough for that, somehow. ]

[ Ah.

He already knew it wouldn't be good if Blade loses someone else. There is a part of him that wants to grab the other for a moment or two, but he also knows that there is still an investigation that needs to be done.

Hwylryn remains quiet and still for a long time, thick tears rolling down his cheeks, unlike to stop before trial. )
