Investigation IV
INVESTIGATION
Being forced asleep the second the clock struck midnight has been an ill-omen for weeks now. Yet this morning sees you waking not to explosions and smoke, but to the comfortable feeling of eight hours of uninterrupted rest. It's 8 in the morning and the sun is already out, and all is quiet around Chateau Ambregris.
Do you dare hope that you can face the day without further bloodshed? That Ish's announcement of needing no more bodies has stilled the restless violence in everybody's hearts? They say time heals all wounds, but has this ever-repeating week truly had the same effect?
(( OOC: Comment to this entry with where your character is going in the morning. A mod response will let you know if thereβs anything to be found there! The Investigation is a free-for-all until all bodies have been found.
Once the victim(s) have been identified, there will be an IC announcement, and mods will provide Investigation sub-headers for the relevant locations. Up to 3 characters are welcome to investigate under each header unless indicated otherwise. ))

Well... He'll just start from the doorway between the observatory and clockwork atelier and work his way inward, starting with the stuff on the floor.

and if that wasn't the least of your problems, there's various furniture strewn about in the room, visibly askew and broken. overall it makes this room feel fairly cluttered in addition to it being a goddamn mess. ]

Twelve, it reminds him exactly of the state of the barricade from earlier. He takes note of the feathers, familiar as they are, and makes an internal map of what's going on with the floor before he disturbs it with his footprints.
Speaking of which, he'll be looking for any recognizable patterns in all the watery blood here.]

as a further descriptive note, the debris on the floor consist of pretty much everything you can find in this room (clocks, figurines) all in various stages of damage. the bigger debris are several furniture chairs in a similar state of disrepair.
there's no recognizable pattern to the blood, it's more just dispersed on the floor, made easy by the fact that it's watery. as he's looking at that though, he'll notice there are trails leading from the atelier to the wintering room. ]

After checking out the blood, he turns his attention to the rest of the room. The furniture debris is all accounted for, but how about any items that aren't usually found in the clockwork atelier?]

there doesn't appear to be any foreign elements, but urianger will spot a bloody handprint on the glass pane of one of the grandfather clocks. ]
no subject
Blood handprint, though...! Is it intact enough to make any comparisons to his own hand? Admittedly any print is going to be smaller than his, but how much smaller, if he can make out that much?]
no subject
never fear though, because there's another handprint on the wall right next to the clock that holds the first one. this print is watery, more so than the print on the clock. ]
no subject
Also, how far off the ground are these marks? Does Urianger have to bend down to see them, or are they decently high up?]
ALL CORE EVIDENCE FOUND
urianger needs to bend down to see them, but he's probably used to that. the blood is on the lower end of the pane of the clockface itself, and this grandfather clock is on the shorter side (about six feet). this puts the print almost a full foot off the top.
feel free to ask any clarifying details, but that's all urianger will find here! sorry for the mess~. ]
