INVESTIGATION

Being forced asleep the second the clock struck midnight has been an ill-omen for weeks now. Yet this morning sees you waking not to explosions and smoke, but to the comfortable feeling of eight hours of uninterrupted rest. It's 8 in the morning and the sun is already out, and all is quiet around Chateau Ambregris.

Do you dare hope that you can face the day without further bloodshed? That Ish's announcement of needing no more bodies has stilled the restless violence in everybody's hearts? They say time heals all wounds, but has this ever-repeating week truly had the same effect?

[ There is no trail up the stairs, but there are a few droplets of blood on the outside of the winding staircase going up.

It might be a good idea to check the upstairs anyway...? ]

Are the droplets closer to the landing or higher up?]

[ The droplets are few and in between, but they cover the whole height of the staircase!

When Vanis gets upstairs, he'll find the trail of blood he'd been looking for. It's coming in from the Observatory and ends at the railing at the top of the stairs. ]

[Does it look like the trail started in the Observatory in terms of number of drops/amount of blood? Any smears like something was dragged, or just droplets?]

[ It's a trail of droplets, no dragging marks. The amount is fairly consistent, and it's continuing all the way into the Observatory where others are investigating. ]

[ Following it to the observatory is going to send you on a pretty long journey of stuff others have already covered!

Following it to the stairs will lead you right to the railing and looking down will give you a different perspective of the pool on the landing! While the pool is largely one pool with outward splatter, there is another bit of larger pooling off to its side. Picture a smaller circle overlapping a bigger circle! This smaller branch pool has no notable outward splatter. ]
