INVESTIGATION

Being forced asleep the second the clock struck midnight has been an ill-omen for weeks now. Yet this morning sees you waking not to explosions and smoke, but to the comfortable feeling of eight hours of uninterrupted rest. It's 8 in the morning and the sun is already out, and all is quiet around Chateau Ambregris.

Do you dare hope that you can face the day without further bloodshed? That Ish's announcement of needing no more bodies has stilled the restless violence in everybody's hearts? They say time heals all wounds, but has this ever-repeating week truly had the same effect?

Is it noticeably different from the normal rose soap smells? He'll go check out the big wash basin and see if anything's in it. ]

[ it is, mainly it has some other light floral notes to it, compared to the soap which is just Rose.

the big wash basin is full of laundry. the top layers appear to be just miscellaneous sheets and blankets, things you would find here in this very room in case you aspired to be yoonhee. the smell of the rose perfume is stronger here slightly, but richard might need to dig to see what the source is. ]

The things he does. Let's get a-searching, as he puts a hand in and starts feeling around. ]

[ a digging he will go, hopefully he doesn't stab himself with whatever's hidden underneath!

...he does not, actually, yay! richard will find a thick, furred, winter coat with matching pants and gloves. there's uh, very visible blood splatter on it so. yay. this seems to be the source of the rose perfume smell, but it's not terribly overbearing or pungent. ]

[ It's fine, he's got gloves. What's a little tetanus among friends.

Is the ensemble recognizable from any of the clothes they've had in the suites, or is this bespoke? Where's the blood spatter roughly around? ]

[ the blood splatter's all over the front, including the sleeves. the make is definitely not bespoke and isn't something available in the suites. ]

[ Hmmm, interesting. Anything inside the pockets? He'll also check the pants and gloves to see if anything was stuffed inside. ]

[ How's the splatter laid out on the sleeves? Closer to the cuff? On the inside or outside if it was being worn?

If there's nothing else going on with the clothes, he'll keep fishing around for anything else that may or may not be left in the basin. Is the color of the water particularly noteworthy? ]

[ there's a few specks of blood on the cuff on the outside, but in general this splatter would indicate that the coat was worn during all of This.

checking out the basin reveals the following: the bottom is slightly wet and the bar of soap is still somewhat moist. there's some dirt and grass caught in the sink drain.

and while he's rooting around here, he'll spot a few black and white strands on the edge of the sink itself. ]

[ Cool. Are they more like hair or fibers? Or some secret third thing?

If that's all there is in the basin, he'll check the hearth, and then the supplies, in that order. ]

while Richard won't find anything amiss in the hearth or supplies, he will spot something on the floor near the sink.
