Epilogue

EPILOGUE

Your stopped time has restarted. Whether you were in the grassy field or fighting for your life on the castle grounds, you'll suddenly find yourself in an untouched area of the gardens. Ish is back, and so are the items, and the dead.

You return to Chateau Ambregris with the certain knowledge that come Monday, you will greet a new week, in a home of your own choosing. No longer will the chime of the clocks hunt you down, no longer will the oppressive scent of roses haunt your senses, no longer will you be forced to watch the death of those you've come to love and hate.

Parting is such a bittersweet sorrow, isn't it?

Make merry one last time, in this castle of illusions. Ironically, your memories of this stolen time that never existed are the one thing that will truly remain to you.

END NOTES
🔮 All dead are revived as tsukumogami! Congrats on your immortality(?)
🔮 Any other contracts made with Ish will be honored
🔮 Characters may choose to leave for any world they desire.
🔮 Time has not passed while you were stuck in this loop!
🔮 There will be no cross-dimensional world travel, except for on Samhain (Witches New Year October 31st/November 1st). On these dates, Ish will enable everyone to visit each other's world freely.
🔮 Universal Communication will be possible, courtesy of Manba and Ish. Everyone who wants one will be given a small fox that can communicate with other foxes through voice and video; the foxes can talk and are fairly simple creatures, enjoy them and give them fried tofu once in a while.
🔮 Powers are on for the finale, but Ish will step in and yeet anyone who gets too out of hand back to their homeworld, so play nice! (or relatively nice. )

[OOC: Welcome to your epilogue! The timeloop is ended, the evil has been defeated, and you have some time to catch your breath in the castle before the rest of your life begins! ]

[ Indeed, immortality isn't a fate that is kindly visited upon everyone - Blade knows the repercussions of it greater than most here, it feels. But, regardless, he does hold out the capybara to her, curious and intent on her.

The enormity of the decision - of something being a tether to "living" makes him wonder...how is she grappling with it?

Her reaction is, perhaps, indication enough - resignation apparent all the same.

The irony of it all isn't missed by him in the slightest. ]

...All of you have the same condition.

[ A conclusion he reaches, from the previous conversation, for the dead. This more or less confirms it. ]

Though, the choice is still in your hands.

You'll return to see her. Won't you?

["All of you have the same condition." She doesn't grace that first statement with a verbal response. Andrew just closes her eyes and inclines her head a little bit, as if the weight of the enormous shift in time is pulling on it. The shock is more pronounced for her than it might be for some others; it's quite a lot more time to deal with than Andrew was prepared to need.]

I will. She won't believe a word of this, so I'll wait until I can prove it. I don't need to be derailed further by winding up in a sanitarium for spouting madness.

[Her life being bound to a children's toy would be insanity of the highest caliber to anyone from Andrew's mundane, god-fearing world.]

My condition may prove useful, but when that's done, I'm not sure how I'll stand it. [To say nothing of years down the line, when she has to face the thought of being once more alone.] How do you? [And it's not purely from her own selfishness - maybe she also wants to know more about him while she can.]

[ Andrew's background did not, from what he could tell, speak to supernatural natural phenomena, or difference in lifespans to the point where immortality would be something she could glimpse in some fashion. Or something near it.

Thus, if it does have her in quite a mood...among other reasons, he would not find himself surprised. ]

...Sounds unpleasant.

[ Blade's not familiar with a "sanitarium", but you better believe the word doesn't bring on any positive connotations!!

To the point that, when she asks, he falls quiet to consider it. ]

I didn't.

I only moved forward because there was no option. No one around to provide the light ahead. Only to force me to endure, since it was the only thing I can do.

First, because a previous association couldn't kill me. Then, because I was found by the Stellaron Hunters.

[ Blade recalls Jingliu killing him over and over again. Then him picking up the blade in the midst of that. After that, the Stellaron Hunters - where he did put up resistance, but it was futile. Though... ]

Now...it's different. It'd be who you know that will get you through it.

When the worst is upon you.
