Mesdames et Messieurs, Voilà, C'est Vous
Bievenue
You're wrapped in a soothing, all-encompassing darkness.
Well, perhaps not perfectly all-encompassing -- you can see some slivers of light here and there, just enough to realize that your current space is literally wrapped in something, and that you are a highly customized burrito at the mercy of an entirely too fluffy bed and set of blankets. Moreover: you are definitely not alone.
Depending upon the contents of your bed (two of you, waking up dressed exactly in what you wore last you remember back where each of you came from, in the exact same state as those last moments no matter how illogical or disjointed), it may not be comfortable or feasible to stay cocooned up for much longer. There's a low, muted GONG, GONGG coming from not far away, your bed creaks like a beleaguered ship in an unannounced storm, and it is joined by even more noises of movement beyond the bed canopy as you try to take stock of where you are.
Eventually, you either fall out of bed or drag yourself into this world: your new and strangely crowded personal rooms, the clock insistently sounding out the hour, and the halls and heraldry of the venerable Château Ambregris -- a lavishly decorated and fully furnished version of a more-or-less authentic French castle (assuming you know what France or a castle are).
Left to your own devices for the moment, you may find it helpful to explore the castle for your own purposes, check out the suspicious statues and personalized plaques in the Promenade of Reflexion, or perhaps to try to get to the bottom of the mysterious and frankly alarming amount of bread piled up in front of the place settings in the Banquet Hall. (Were you thinking of escaping? Any attempts to leave the property will be met with no forward progress at all, treadmill style). There's just about every kind of loaf, roll, boule, baguette, croissant or even animal-shaped bread you can think of stacked in baskets. There's absolutely nothing else save for plain bread, but at least you won't starve.
[OOC: Welcome to Château Ambregris, a perfectly normal castle receiving perfectly normal guests. Feel free to ask any questions in discord! The NPC Meet & Greet will be later today, March 8 at 6 PM EST/3 PM PST.]

Can't say I'm not ready to slap an ass right now, so can't blame you... I don't even know how I fell asleep before whatever this is.
[ Time to roll around and loosen this blanket burrito more. ]

[ so they're missing time. love it. ]

[ Does she even have to elaborate on how much that's freaking her out right now? Honestly, she should be getting praise for being as calm as she is! (lol) ]
no subject
it's hard to say right now, isn't it. ]
... Do you think they might be here, somewhere?
no subject
Hopefully you weren't with anyone else when...whatever brought us here happened.

[ Alone in a crowd. In the middle of a park, in a traffic crossing, that sort of thing. Not like, walking through seedy darklit back alleys, or anything like that. ]

[ She grimaces, mind trying to go through all the possible ways someone could just be taken from a crowd. ]
no subject
[ She can think of at least one way this could have happened, but ... No, it shouldn't be possible. If it's that, then something's gone terribly wrong. ]

[ From one horror movie to another. Cool. Happy birthday, Clover. Or birthday week at this point. ]
Ugh, I swear I'm going to find out who did this and step on them.
no subject
It would be the least that they deserve.
[ let clover step on the mm 2k25. run this alongside chara's dreams of a political career. ]
no subject
[ thumbs up! this game is actually a secret election now ]
You know, you should totally take a swing too. I'll even help hold them down.
[ is that a joke. maybe. maybe not. ]
no subject
[ she's not a violent person, but also. sometimes, needs must? ]
no subject
[ She flops around again, because she's in a flopping mood, that's why. ]
Sheesh, anger is tiring though. I should, like, look around wherever the hell this is, but my brain is basically ten dogs barking right now.

[ and do it without crashing and burning. but Clover's comment about looking around does give her pause, Homura taking a moment to extricate herself entirely from the mess of blankets on the bed before setting them aside. ]
... it would probably be best to get a better idea of our surroundings, yes. That said, I'm not sure if we should expect them to make any more sense than how we got here.
[ considering their circumstances, and the very short list of things she's coming up with that could facilitate this kind of situation (none that she likes, at that). ]
no subject
Better than nothing. Not like there's any other real choice right now... I just hope we're not locked in here with a puzzle or something. I think I might actually scream.
[ Anyway, one blanket burrito escape later, she's at least ready to bulldoze forward. ]
no subject
Would you like it any better if we've somehow found ourselves caught within a labyrinth instead?
[ Mazes or escape rooms, Clover, what'll it be. ]
no subject
I'd say "not again". If buildings counted as labyrinths.
no subject
[ or if a witch has taken up residence, as you do. so, sure. buildings are labyrinths now. ]
no subject
[ Oddly specific thought, but look, sometimes a girl has to let out a little salt. ]
