WEEK ONE
WEEK ONE
32 Guests
Maybe being swept away to a fancy castle isn't what you wanted (Hickey aside), but the fact of the matter is that you're stuck here, at least for now. Thankfully there's enough food even if hot chocolate for breakfast might be a bit rich for some palates. There's at least a stock of raw food in the kitchens, but your hapless kidnapper is a Witch, not a chef, so you'll have to perform your own, manual kitchen magic if the provided meals aren't to your liking.
Just try not to burn the place down before you get the chance to take your host at his word (that you'll be leaving in a week's time, certainly, trust).
If you do get the cabin fever immediately, the grounds are a beautiful reprieve from the great indoors -- and if nothing else, perhaps you can find time to get to know your fellow guests. The weather is gorgeous all week, cheerfully sunny, which lends something to the mood.
WEEKLY EFFECT
This week, characters will feel heightened emotions periodically. If they're very happy about something, it'll feel like the best thing in the world! If they'd usually brush off something mildly annoying, suddenly it'll grate on their nerves. This effect will last throughout the week until investigation and is completely optional.

And I didn't hear about it until Sora comes calling me all, hey your goh was found at the scene of the crime and ""my friend"" picked it up. And guess who ""my friend"" turned out to be?!

...Yeaaaah, she doesn't know the guy's name. ]
...The ho?

Seojin must feel like hell, where ever he is from all this slander. ]
no subject
[ No, she doesn't. ]
So I'm just gonna ask. What's his name? [ Or is she just calling him ho forever? ]

Okay, Lee Seojin, huh? Have I got the story for you! Just wait for the punchline.
[ She clears her throat. ]
Once upon a time, there was a king with a rather peculiar way of holding trials. Those accused of a crime that interests the king are brought to two doors. Each door represents his innocence or his guilt, with no escape from judgment.
One door holds a fierce and hungry tiger. If he chooses this one, he becomes its meal as punishment for his guilt.
The other door holds a lady suitable to his age and station. If he chooses this one, he is married to her as a reward for his innocence.
One day, this king realizes that his child, the darling princess, has a lover of lower status than her. Gasp! Haha, maybe I should just say Lee Seojin.
Anyhow! You know what he does next! He imprisons this lover for the trial and readies the doors with both lady and tiger.
Buuut the princess uses that time to find out who is behind which door. The tiger is there, of course, but the lady? The lady turns out to be the princess's rival in love. What are the chances, right?
[ She giggles before continuing her tale. ]
Soon enough, it's the day of the trial. The accused looks to the princess for a hint, a key to his fate. Will the princess decide to lose him to marriage, or to death? The Lady, or the Tiger?
So, Princess. What hint did you give him?
no subject
But what is that question even? If I have to choose, of course a tiger can eat him! Just give me the remains after.
no subject
[ Somehow, she guessed he'd pick the tiger, but still...what? ]
Wooow, no hesitation! What would you even do with those remains?

Well, there's no actual answer to the question! The story never gives one. So sure, why not try to leave?

Will the king get upset with you if you make the hint too obvious?
no subject
[ Anyway, when she hears the second part: ]
Considering the king's personality, I'd err on the side of yes? But I'm curious what the obvious hint would be.

[Shiv is in this story and she doesn't like it.]
The tiger's the cleanest one. But how much time would the princess have before the wedding? Enough for her lover's new fiancee to have a tragic accident?
no subject
[ She'd high five over the phone if she could. ]
In the original story, the marriage, or funeral, is supposed to happen right on the spot. It's held in an arena so they'd have an audience. As if the king wasn't crazy enough already.
[ This story is soooo weird. But that weirdness kinda makes it fun to tell. ]
So in theory, there shouldn't be time to interfere...but hey, there's always preparation beforehand!

A hint for the lady's door, of course. Hypothetically. If those are the only two options presented at this point.
