Psst. Were you enjoying your peaceful, sleepy spring morning, blanketed in magic and mystery? Alas, the times they are a-changin’ – that is to say, everyone will get a rude wake-up call from a sleep they may not remember falling into at precisely 8 o’clock AM on the dot, every single grandfather clock clanging out the hour once again. It’s truly a grand and terrible orchestra, made perhaps just a bit worse by the state some of you may be waking up in.

Now, is this better or worse than your last magical wake-up?

She's not sure what to make of the rules, once she's read them, and a part of her wonders if she's just imagining all of this, but...

Knowing whodunnit by process of elimination within the first five minutes would be a drag, don't you think? Luckily this game won't continue that long.

I think that'd make it harder in some cases, depending. But no, that's in instance of fairness. Everyone's on a relatively even playing field now.

[If he knows so much about them, it stands to reason he knows what she's capable of—not that Hamel is the sort who would turn to violence, so it's more a question of genuine curiosity than anything else.]

No, I wouldn't put it like that. But I'm not in the business of doing things I find unpleasant, unless I have to.

[It's not a response Hamel, but it doesn't disappoint her, either. It's hard to figure out what standards she should hold people to, and hard to decide what she shouldn't tolerate from others.

In a way, she'll always envy those that are sure of themselves and what they're doing, no matter what it is. Maybe that's why she has to mull it over for a moment.]

I see. But you must like other music as well, right?
