WEEK FOUR
WEEK FOUR
25 Guests
The day is rung in by a myriad clocks tolling at once.
It's a familiar sound. It's the first time you're hearing it.
Once again, Monday is upon you, and once again you have just arrived at the castle to meet your new roommates. The last week is gone without a trace - nothing there to remind you of its existence. Injuries have been replaced with the old aches you may have felt before coming here, keepsakes have vanished and decorations have returned to their original state.
Formally, this is a clean slate and a fresh start. But that's not how it feels in your mind - your bodies may be rewound, but your hearts are steadily continuing, carrying the weight of a time that never was.
As always, the castle is new and old at once. Static, yet ever-changing. The curious minds among you may find it a good idea to explore a little.
TIME LOOP:
-Characters wake up with the clothes they had with them at their canon point, like in the intro log unless you wish to have them affected by the weekly effect as early as Monday.
-The state of their bodies is still exactly the same as it was on the intro log (for better or worse). This is independent of the weekly effect.
-Any items they accumulated last week are also reset (sorry you'll need to build up your weapon cache again), except items that were given out as event rewards. Please note that the item uses are not reset.
LOCATIONS UPDATED:
- garden, library, promenade
- aquarium β wintering room
- photography studio β tea room

WEEKLY EFFECT
This week the castle's whims have decided to put on a little fashion show! Characters may awaken to find themselves dressed in an outfit that they have once worn... or an outfit that they might have worn, in a future that has never come to pass. These clothes are not period-accurate and instead reflect the characters' own lives and thus worlds! It's time to shine in an outfit you absolutely love - or absolutely loathe!
The drawback is that these magical clothes also cannot be removed until sundown. Whatever outfit you woke up in? You're stuck in it! The only way to escape your dress-up fate is to damage the clothing, but if you do so you'll find yourself stuck naked until the beginning of the next day. The castle's strange properties do at least provide a little cloud of mist that will follow characters around for modesty reasons.
The new clothes will remain after the day of their appearance. They'll lose all strange properties and become garments that can simply be worn or discarded at will, like all other clothing.

I hope your wish comes back to bite you.
no subject
It wasnβt me who got the wish. And I have nothing to wish for in the first place.
no subject
If it wasn't for you...
[ ...
A lot wouldn't have happened. Even-- the nice things, they wouldn't have happened. Since there's no way they would have let the words spill out; they would have swallowed them, smiling, but-- even so, even so-- ]
... You know. Primrose is pretty handy to be staying in, right now.
[ Considering Richard's in there. Is this a threat? Who can say. ]
no subject
but the unspoken threat does manage to get a reaction out of ayaka. her eyes narrow, hands balling up into fists. her legs are trembling, but she doesn't back down. ]
Threatening Saber won't solve anything.

[ Wrongfully accused, in the end, because of them. And no one willing to even the debt. Let them stew in their guilt? When they don't seem like they've been stewing at all? No, the knife hasn't been able to see everything, but-- ]
I would just remember where Clover stays. Pretty easy to escape her, too.

Siffrin.

[It's not reproach in the umbrella's voice, just a warning; he doesn't move, for now, but he is reading the room.
Keeping an eye on both object and people movements. He hasn't stopped minor scuffles but...]
no subject
he is here, very still, and not doin too hot )
... Siffrin...
( Softly, in neither condemnation nor protest - yet, neither exaltation or encouragement. If he could just make everyone stop, he,
But he can't. They won't. And they have that right. And that's how it's always is, and will always be. )
no subject
All of us. Don't forget it.
[ Ironic, Blade is speaking on this. He knows what it is like to hold vengeance near and dear to his heart. He has no problems with people being taken to tasked; for being judged for their acts. People must take responsibility.
Even he believes that. All the same...
Blade knows a threat when he hears it. Does he think Siffrin capable of acting on it? Yes.
Except it's too late...I gues.....s? ]
no subject
... you have people waiting for you, right? Or at least ... people you want to get back to.
[ this isn't her argument, if she's even going to make one: she just wants to confirm, first. ]
no subject
[ She doesn't have the right to interfere. But whatever happens from here on out is her fault, and she will pay the price. ]
no subject
[ His hand is not leaving the sword on his hip. Is he gonna shank a knife???? Maybe???? ]
1/3
[ A bit amused, a bit distant. The knife remains still, but it might seem a little warmer in G'raha's hand. Probably nothing to worry about. ]
You aren't scary. [ Nothing scares someone who can't die. Even the execution hadn't. ] I would've liked to fight you.
[ The knife jerks out of G'raha's tight grip fast as any attack they'd seen during Siffrin's execution, still pointed at Ayaka-- ]
2/3
3/3
distantly, she can hear herself call out for saber-- no, richard. her legs move on their own, mind taking stock of the situation with a calmness that she certainly didn't have the night that she was being attacked by siobhan. saber's not wearing his armor. the knife is going straight at him, and she the thought of losing him is unbearable--
so she throws herself in front of saber, the knife digging into the back of her shoulder instead of its intended mark. ]
no subject
I knew you'd come.
[ But that's it, because it can't do anything else. Can't slice up like it did The Witch, just remains stuck until someone pulls it. ]
no subject
But everything slows down, and he can't stop Ayaka before she comes between them, as he sees the knife sink into her shoulder. ]
Ayaka!
[ He's instantly reaching around her, holding onto the grip of the knife in a way that keeps it in until they can get something for the bleeding, but also so that knife doesn't have any kind of license to dig it's way any deeper. ]
no subject
[ To Richard. It's too bad... No, it's good they can't see Siffrin's expression. The voice is calm. ]
Are you scared?
[ To Ayaka. ]
You had plenty of time to confess.
[ To both. ]
It seems no one would've lifted a hand to punish you, anyway.
no subject
and yet she laughs, raspy and broken. she's felt pain like this before. so many times, in so many lifetimes, that it's almost familiar to her. ]
Hahah, shut up. You think this... is punishment?
[ she's resting her forehead on richard's chest, biting back from screaming in pain. ]
Fine. Curse me all you want, Siffrin. I'm used to it. I don't want your forgiveness.

[Urianger is putting the "anger" in Urianger from the tone of his voice.]
Did what G'raha say mean so little to thee? What hath this accomplished, save for satiating thy thirst for vengeance? I understand thy rage- the unfairness of thy sacrifice as the true culprits stood by and said nothing. I was furious on thy behalf in the moment, and I am just as furious now that the truth hath been laid bare.
But this doth naught to aid our situation.
[There is no moral high ground to be found here, and Urianger knows that. But to him, all this is doing is sewing chaos when they should be locking the fuck in to escape this nightmare.
Finished speaking, he turns his attention to Ayaka to see what he can do to help. He doesn't agree with what she and Richard did, but the last thing they need right now is another death on their hands.]

Holy fucking shit.
[The tone isn't quite as smug as it could be, nor is there a lot of concern. Simply shock and confusion as to why Ayaka would do something so...unnecessarily sentimental.]
no subject
Siobhan Roy does not understand that some people really are just like that, does she? ]
no subject
Blade blinks and what is done has been done.
The blood is drawn from the knife, red spotted on Ayaka's clothing. Then, he looks towards Siffrin.
The hunger for that vengeance. He doesn't think anything much could have stopped this, because of that kind of speed.
But, he also knows that dark feeling will burn. It's a bit of complicated feeling. As for the knife...he has no healing spray. So, y'know. ]
