TRIAL IV
Trial
Another Saturday, but this Saturday is your last Saturday. If everything holds, if everything works out. After all you've been through, are you capable of being an optimist? The carnival calls regardless, furniture arranged around as they always are with banquet table and pit in the middle.
This week's new offerings are: a fluffy loaf of a certain type of rye bread, a hearty beef stew and an assortment of fresh pies with candied fruit and cream.
For the last time, find out who killed two of your own: G'raha Tia and Sariel.
(( OOC: Welcome to your first trial! You'll have 7 hours (until 8 PM EDT/5 PM PDT) to vote one (1) person guilty of murder. As this is scapegoat style, a correct vote is not necessary. Please remember to vote unless otherwise discussed with the mods, as that is our AC for this game ))

Once Cain's done discussing the evidence, he's going over to the table and gently shake Hwylryn. ]
Hey. Let's get you somewhere more comfortable.
no subject
he seems to curl up a little more into himself, hair getting everywhere and. the blood seeping into some of his clothes and hair apparently, per mods. thanks ish for keepin the bodies real fresh,
softly, his voice gentle but ragged at the edges; a little raw: )
... There's nowhere like that for me right now...
no subject
[ Cain holds out his hand for him to take. ]
You're getting blood all over you. If people come here to check the bodies, they might think you're dead, too.
no subject
He's quiet, for a time. )
... If it gets too hard, could I count on you to make it true?
( But he does... reach out to take Cain's hand, and he'll let Cain help him off. He sure seems like he'd rather be lying with Sariel and G'raha, but, for now, he'll... concede... )
no subject
He frowns. ]
You know I'm not going to do that.
[ After a second of thought, he shifts, taking of his fancy jacket, and hands it to Hwylryn. Use it as a sheet or a blanket or a change of clothes or whatever. ]
I know it's hard, but...you have to make it through this. [ ... ] For Mithra?
no subject
He seems surprised by both the jacket and the mention of Mithra. All of that... feels so far away, but it'd only been a little bit, hadn't it? Just a few brief moments, given his lifespan.
...
He takes the jacket, slipping it on around his shoulders, as if it might keep him warm against the storm his heart's been weathering. His expression is complicated... but grateful. )
... How's Mithra doing... in the time you're from?
no subject
Last I remember? [ He chuckles a bit. ] He's pretty hard to read, but I think he's doing well. Still fighting Oz all the time, still killing Owen all the time. Which I think is...good, by Northern standards.
no subject
... That's great. Yeah, it means he's having fun. I'm... really happy for him.
( A beat. )
... My decision was selfish, and... I made it out of pride. So I can't ask you to tell him I'm sorry, or that I regret it, but... tell him I said hello.
no subject
Yeah. I will.
[ he'll also tell him they're buddies in the influencer au, ]
no subject
You could just write him a letter. Just be sure to use small words, he's not that good of a reader.
no subject
But if he uses big words, he could get Rutile's help. I bet Rutile would love that.
[ he saw how they were ACTING!!!!! ]
