Another Saturday, but this Saturday is your last Saturday. If everything holds, if everything works out. After all you've been through, are you capable of being an optimist? The carnival calls regardless, furniture arranged around as they always are with banquet table and pit in the middle.

This week's new offerings are: a fluffy loaf of a certain type of rye bread, a hearty beef stew and an assortment of fresh pies with candied fruit and cream.

For the last time, find out who killed two of your own: G'raha Tia and Sariel.

...a lotta good people died a few months ago. Witches 'n wizards who had been workin' hard to save the world. They died because they refused to run in the face of an insurmountable foe. They died, but the end of the world was put off for a little longer.

The inherent good in mankind is a myth. You have to perceive the nature of the world and humanity to see that, and you have to come to terms with your own hideousness.]

( Hwylryn isn't part of this convo, but he's just :( for Angelo. His privacy and pride are both things he should be allowed, and... he understands why he would think the way he does. Hwylryn finds this world beautiful - but he also knows of its stains. It is both of these things that he's come to love. And so he can't take a firm side, on either end, as always. )

Nobody I know is perfect, but they aren't their flaws. The people I love—they're the same. The most despicable, disagreeable, sadistic man I know will still smile when he eats cake, will sing along with the birds, and go out of his way to help the people he loves, too.

[ The words just come out of his mouth and they catch him by surprise, for a brief fraction of a second.

But he quickly composes himself. He extends a hand. ]

And I know you're not an exception. I know you and the people you love have their good sides, too. I know you have truths you don't compromise on. And I know, that goes the same for everyone else here.

What makes us different is that I choose to believe in something better. That I can strive to make the world I live in better, despite it all. I will always offer a hand, but if they don't want to take it, then that's their choice.

But he knows between Angelo and Chara it's a losing battle. Those steeped so deeply in nihilism and misanthropy will not be swayed by anything.]
