EPILOGUE

Your stopped time has restarted. Whether you were in the grassy field or fighting for your life on the castle grounds, you'll suddenly find yourself in an untouched area of the gardens. Ish is back, and so are the items, and the dead.

You return to Chateau Ambregris with the certain knowledge that come Monday, you will greet a new week, in a home of your own choosing. No longer will the chime of the clocks hunt you down, no longer will the oppressive scent of roses haunt your senses, no longer will you be forced to watch the death of those you've come to love and hate.

Parting is such a bittersweet sorrow, isn't it?

Make merry one last time, in this castle of illusions. Ironically, your memories of this stolen time that never existed are the one thing that will truly remain to you.

[ His smile brightens a she reaches out to take the necklace. ]

Thank you. I need this now, so I am glad you sought me out to return it.

Yeah.

[ She hands it over with ease, but falls quiet. There's a lot she's feeling right now but not a whole lot of words forming.

Sorry, G'raha. She's gonna just be awkward and quiet for a moment. ]

Yeah. I traded some of my time for it. You know, since I'm still stuck in looping and all.

[ Got a whooooooole bunch just... sitting there. Frankly.

Siffrin... will step back again, looking over G'raha. All of the colors he'd ever mentioned, then at themselves too. Then back to G'raha again, reaching out to touch his hair. Oooh. Red's soft, too. ]

Thought it was a fair trade. Since he works with memories, and... it's a memory thing.

[ He takes a moment to put it back on, just so that it's safe and secure on his person. It'll probably be better to keep it somewhere else after this, but... ]

[ Aaaaand surprising no one, he's opened the flood gates. This hug is unbelievably tight on her end and she is not going to be letting go so quickly! ]

[ FOR MY OWN SANITY (AND LB'S)...this will be after some exchanges that sabo will need to do with ish now that he has his "body" back so that things can be back to "normal". but after all of that has been settled and squared away, sabo will be distracted by a fire that will immediately seem to take over his entire arm only for it to eventually settle into a small flame at the tip on his finger that he'll look at fondly.

the body he has been given comes with its own drawbacks and there's a lot that he has to work through but it's back. ( ▌▌▌▌) it's really back. (welcome back.) this fire... (his will.) the legacy that he carries within him. there are many things that sabo has to reflect on but he doesn't want to do it out here while others are saying their goodbyes. however, sabo's never been really great in terms of allowing himself to be around long enough to properly say goodbyes to anyone.

but he'll do his best to linger just long enough for people to get a few words in before leaving for home. (oh, and i guess for anyone who wants to attack him or try to spook him with some sort of bodily contact, they'll be met with a very surreal experience of passing right through some flames that don't seem to bother sabo in the slightest.) ]

[ The world is

new, and after Siffrin spends the first few minutes of re-life searching blind for G'raha (there is a reason for this) they're content to collect their white fox and...

... wander all over, staring at various parts of the garden as if seeing them for the first time.

Going into the castle, too. No room is safe from Siffrin's gaze, staring at every bit and bauble, every painting in the gallery, every-- everything.

And.

Well.

He's gonna be staring pretty obviously at everyone else, too.

Like seeing them for the first time again. Quiet, observing. This is all it's going to be. Sorry, he's-- a bit overwhelmed, maybe. ]

[ Well. It probably doesn't matter anymore anyway, given everything, so he won't be upset about it. Siffrin touches his hair and he allows it with no issue... so long as he doesn't mess up the barrettes in his hair.

Besides, that was Siffrin's own choice. There are some things that G'raha knows not even he can meddle in. ]

[ It doesn't take long before Richard pops his head up. He's a little scuffed, but is otherwise uninjured as he comes into view. Sabo's top hat is in hand, having been dethroned from its temporary home. ]

Ayaka!

[ The instant he catches sight of her, he's zooming up to her again, relief that she's visibly unharmed clear on his face. ]

You're not hurt, are you? Did everything go all right on your end?

[siffriend]

[ No... he won't... Really tempted to, though. Who did these. Was it Blade? That backstabbing Raha-granted-user. ]

Yeah. 'Cause now I get to keep my word.

[ Of just staring at him... ]

... Why do you have so many?

[ small, fluffy creatures ... these ones aren't triggering the kill bill sirens yet, but... ]

[ She squeezes some of the air out of him, but it's fine. He doesn't mind, especially not right now as he returns the embrace. ]

You fought well, Lili. You did your best to maintain everyone's spirits.

[Urianger finally happens upon G'raha and comes to a complete halt before he can get too close. He's hit with an immediate tempest of relief, joy, and immense guilt all at once, leaving him paralyzed as to what he can possibly say to his dear friend after everything that happened.]

G-G'raha, I...

[His eyes are still hidden beneath his goggles, but even then, his emotions are plain to see. The quiver in both his voice and his lips, and the trembling of his fists, tell all.]

Looks at the black one with red streaks that he's offering. ]

[ He's with Sousuke on this one. ]

[With everything had had happened still so fresh, Junior doesn't expect anyone to be seeking him out for one last goodbye. It's easier than ever, with his power returned to him, to evade notice. Perhaps you catch glimpses of him as he hovers in a corner of a room before he's gone again, disappeared through the solid wall as if he was never there to begin with. More ghost than boy, now more than ever before. In his own way, perhaps, he's giving himself one last selfish glimpse of the friendships he'd made and destroyed. Maybe he's just wandering the halls to savor this place where he'd made so many cherished and awful memories.

Eventually, he stops in the kitchen. There's hardly any point to it, he knows. It will likely simple cease to be when the dimension disappears, but Junior removes the kitchen knife he's been keeping on him each week from his person and gently places it back where he always found it.

He hoped, now and forever, he'd never have to pick up a weapon again.

After all this, he can likely be found at the center of the hedge maze, where he simply listens to the sound of the water.]

[ Please, that's so embarrassing he wants to crawl away into the hedges. ]

You should take time to ponder over the rest of your surroundings as well. There are many colors to behold than what is on my person.

Yeah, it was pretty bad. But we worked hard, and Norna liked it, so I'm proud of it.

[ she nods. despite being alert for an attack, there's also nothing she can really do to stop one, so she's more or less vibing. ]

How were things on your end? Sabo's hat was getting somewhat messed up before all of this.

( For those who may wish to speak with Hwylryn one last time, he is here to speak freely - as himself, with all of you, for perhaps the first time.

A familiar blue and white dragon reclines in the gardens as everyone gathers to disperse. However, as most would recall of his scale from the first execution, his dragon form is probably as large as the castle itself, if not much larger. (He remains without his bracelet.)

Thus, Hwylryn has restored himself to his dragon form in a much more manageable size, and he sprawls out along the garden path and drapes over bushes and other topiary, a portion of his tummy (his tummy being very long) dipped into the pond, the rest of him stretched out and munching on fruit. The fruit of the orchids are periodically enveloped in a beautiful, sea breeze scent and blueish glow, before floating on over from the orchids over to his mouth. Nomf nomf.

At all times, however, he appears near to both Junior and Ish. This appears to be the future he felt he was working so hard to achieve, and... it feels strange to think he's achieved something, after so many thousands of years spent given up.

He is freely available to be approached. And, of course, he can talk like this - however it pleases him to convey his voice, it shall be known to you. )

Urianger.

[ He's relieved. So, so relieved that Urianger is safe and healthy and whole. That had been one of G'raha's biggest worries here, that he would one day wake up and find Urianger no longer among the living.

...It's a shame, then, that Urianger had to face that scenario for G'raha instead.

Which is why he doesn't hesitate in quickly making his way towards Urianger, wasting no time at all in pulling him into an embrace. It's lopsided, given their difference in size, but that doesn't really matter right now, does it? ]

Full glad am I to see you.

[ He said the same when they first arrived, didn't he? But it applies nevertheless. ]

[ she could recognize that voice kilometers away. whipping her head towards it, richard's already by her side when she starts running towards him.

but she doesn't stop. she wraps her arms around him in an embrace, pulling him close. ]

Everything was fine! She asked us to put on a play and it was ridiculous, but it was fine! Ish showed us that you were fighting... why did you have Sabo's hat on?!

[ it doesn't really matter. she's just glad he's safe. ]

[siffriend]

We fought the maze and won. [ it wasn't the maze. ] I think he got the worst of it, but a couple of us ended up getting hurt too... That's where the damage comes from.

[ Sorry, G'raha!!!!! But you know now!!!! Being one yourself!!!! ]

There was a gate inside it, with a bunch of people coming out. Twisted by time. That's all.
