WEEK ONE
WEEK ONE
32 Guests
Maybe being swept away to a fancy castle isn't what you wanted (Hickey aside), but the fact of the matter is that you're stuck here, at least for now. Thankfully there's enough food even if hot chocolate for breakfast might be a bit rich for some palates. There's at least a stock of raw food in the kitchens, but your hapless kidnapper is a Witch, not a chef, so you'll have to perform your own, manual kitchen magic if the provided meals aren't to your liking.
Just try not to burn the place down before you get the chance to take your host at his word (that you'll be leaving in a week's time, certainly, trust).
If you do get the cabin fever immediately, the grounds are a beautiful reprieve from the great indoors -- and if nothing else, perhaps you can find time to get to know your fellow guests. The weather is gorgeous all week, cheerfully sunny, which lends something to the mood.
WEEKLY EFFECT
This week, characters will feel heightened emotions periodically. If they're very happy about something, it'll feel like the best thing in the world! If they'd usually brush off something mildly annoying, suddenly it'll grate on their nerves. This effect will last throughout the week until investigation and is completely optional.

'Tis indeed. [He replies to Blade's remark.] Though its celestial bodies differ from that of my home, 'tis heartening to find the familiar comfort of a beautiful night sky filled with stars.

No similarities here, either.
[ Blade doesn't think he oft watched celestial bodies even in the past, which is good that he hasn't, in retrospect. Instead, he can be kind of distracted by these stars and the constellations, in a strangely good mood to find joy in the small things. ]
...I never looked at it much. Not before. I was too busy traversing through the stars.
no subject
Verily? Art thou a regular traveler of the cosmos?
no subject
[ A little more forthcoming than Blade would normally be this week, but good mood vibes all around ensure a bit more of that even if he is lacking in conversation skills; he does finally look from away the telescope to cast a gaze on Urianger.
Who is apparently a giant. Alright, then. He is used to seeing alien species at the very least. ]
...You hold a deep interest in the stars. Is it really only incidental?
no subject
Nay. I am trained in the art of astromancy, thus do I oft study the movement of celestial bodies for my purposes. Only once I have I traveled among the stars myself, but I still hold interest in what lieth beyond my home world.
no subject
...Purposes beyond predicting the future?
[ Thinking of Destiny's Slave right away. That is the heart of astromancy, isn't it? Though maybe it is for leisure as well. ]
Did you travel by spaceship?
no subject
[Which still involves a little future-predicting but it's a bit more involved than just that.
As for his method of travel...]
Aye. A vessel known as the Ragnarok carried myself and my comrades across the expanse of space.
no subject
...Must be powerful.
[ And you know, he hasn't heard of the Ragnarok - unless Honkai Star Rail strikes me down with a similar name which is entirely possible - but he knows the universe is vast. ]
And this doesn't seem like a world that you might have sighted in your space travels?
no subject
[He thinks he might've been able to manage it, though. Alas, no magic for him or anyone besides Witch, apparently.]
Our voyage was focused on one particular locale within the cosmos, and we were quite pressed for time. We lacked the luxury of sightseeing in pursuit of our cause.
no subject
Most likely incapable of it, even if your abilities were not sealed.
[ An easy deduction, at least. If only his abilities weren't as well...he can't feel bothered about it, though. ]
I assume the vaguely mentioned obligation is finished. [ He doesn't seem hurried now. ] But, has this all deterred you from any other task?
no subject
Indeed it is. We have since returned to our home world. Fortunately I was not spirited away to this place in the midst of that objective. [It was kind of a really important mission!!] The only thing that I have been deterred from is a well-earned reprieve.
no subject
Anyway, Blade pauses for his mind to go off into the realm of the serious or distant or whathaveyou. When he finally comes back, he says the words simply: ]
A denied reprieve after a completion of an objective.
[ ... ]
...And we are still trapped here, not knowing what may happen next. With a deceitful captor.
[ Too bad Urianger can't squish the guy with how tall he is. ]
